Both NCO's and Officers wore the cloth covered visor field cap, black cloth and black velvet band, you can check this at Cloth headgear Section M1937 caps topic, interesting topic.
Dorrs' cap surely has a very intense black color band, could well be velvet. I love the collar patch with the number removed on Dorrs' collar..Comment
