Side cap

Hello !

Any ideas about this M42 side cap and insigina on it ? It looks 50/50 to me and any help will be appreciated ! I am doubt about the scull a bit as well as some cap construction. But may be I am wrong

Both pieces of insignia are fake, and i do not really like the cap as well, Sorry!

Well I guess you better know what you are looking at when you buy from this dealer. I have never bought anything from him and after seeing these two items I doubt I ever will.Not to say he does not get original stuff but as far as I am concerned he has been doing this for a long time and really should know better and probably does.... You know stuff like this really burns me for the simple fact that it is so obvious!!

Some poor collector will probably buy this cap or the helmet because they want a piece of SS memorabilia for their collection.And were it comes from a so called "reputable dealer" it is 100% original,no questions asked. When in fact they are getting a very expensive fake!! It just burns me,

Has anyone contacted Kai to hear what he has got to say to this?

Honestly I have nearly zero competence in insignias so I really do not want to take my mouth too full. But on the other hand even I have a bad feeling about the insignia on this cap and I have never seen this style anywhere...

Yes you are quite right Glenn. He should really know better. He knows that side cap is fake and as for the decal on the M42 well...... Be aware always!
