    W-SS Officers M43?

    Hi

Ive been trying to ID this cap.

    Its not BW or NVA

Its Tricot,,is it W-SS? I ve never handled one so do not know what to look for, I have seen some caps on the forum that come close to it.

There is shadowing on it from trap insignia on the front.

I do not expect it to be simply because I do not get lucky in W SS

    Thanks
    Dion

W-SS Officers M-43 caps always had front leather head reinforcement and i don't like the cut of the visor, are there any stamps ?

        Hi

No stamps, nothing. Just the shadow of a removed trap in front. Iam all out of ideas on it.

All it had inside was an old note from the owner that said German Officers Hat, Insignia removed.

        Best

I have seen W-SS Officers caps without the front leather reinforcement and some also didn't have any stamps as well , the material is not common for wartime trikot IMO but i could be wrong of course, lets here others as well

            may be for freiwilligen corps
for example croatian, or slovenian ?

is not the traditional official model for german officers
but is also possible was made outside of reich in another country.

may be is not a beautiful non original but an original with a hugly construction

I wouldn't say the cap is ugly but its the material that bothers me, wartime trikot used for W-SS Officer headgear looks a bit different and the visor usually had a much wider cut !

Cap looks early post war to me, materials, construction etc.

                    Any signs of insignia?

                    Cheers
                    Ben

Yah,,I was looking for u to show some new guitar clips. Iam learning Slash solos note for note when Iam not trying to ID caps LOL

There is a sign a trap was on front, shadowing of it. I ran the cap in BW forum and International,,Iam told its not BW, they lean towards war time.
