The ends of this title are glued down with a brown looking glue....did they ever do the ends with anything other than thread ? Just thought you guys might be interested in this if it turns out to be a repro. Im not sure anybody makes CT's this well yet, but .....????? what do you say folks yea, or nay ? Whats your opinion? Maybe some companys used glue to save thread, as they are getting stitched on a tunic anyway. Hopefully someone will know. Thanks in advance,... as they say.Last edited by juoneen; 08-29-2011, 02:13 PM.

I hope the initial poster did not waste a lot of cash?

The badge was all i wanted, and also suspected the title, but....i didnt get hold of the people who owned it yet, and want to see what they have to say when i do, just out of curiosity99(if at all possible, do you know whos they were by chance who consigned them ?). What did you think of the other nurnberg 29 badge ? The pin on that one had me wondering, but many times if a lot was actually a brought home souvenir sometimes its all good. I know i paid retail....but really wanted the original indianalbum they had, and was in a quandry over over spending ...then missing the badge , so that was my quandry. Now if the badge turns out to be one of notariety thats even better, as all my badges GPB's are or never ave been researched. Anyway, i dont think i got hurt, just paid thats all, its only money right.....I was watching the financial television show varney, and heard collectibles are a viable part of peoples financial portfolios as much as 5 to 20 % , also with gold, so I figure when im real old most of the GPB's will be snagged up, and as collectors are born and die, prices may go up ,i feel the same especially for The order of the blood. Those are also going to go through the roof in our lifetime also, unless 2012 has somemajor suprises for us all.

I'm sorry I didn't make myself clear Felix. The auction lot was three pieces: a gpb, a tinnie and the das reich cuff title. The golden party badge is an authentic Deschler 30mm. E-medals has a similar gpb for sale at 2,200 USD. So, all in all I don't think Juoneen did badly. If the cuff title was authentic it would have been icing on the cake!
