    Julleuchter

Hello, would like some feedback on this Julleuchter:
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=537049

I know it has been discussed before and has given the thumbs up:
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=442312
See this link also for more photo's on page two.

But I would like some more opinions just to be sure. (there are also pretty good coppies).
The openings/cutouts have some cuts left, see red cirkels. I know these were hand made and sometimes by young girls, but would that be allowed by Allach?
Is it just an ugly finished original?

    Thanks in advance!

Without any doubt an original piece.

            Anyway: good observations!

The Julleuchter was a mass product and this example clearly shows lack of finish - that was the price for heavily increasing the produced examples especially during wartime and letting them produce at about 30-40 different places owned and run by the DEST (Deutsche Erd- und Steinwerke) of the SS.

The clay was much different and skills of workers/prisoners as well.

Indeed interesting, for Allach was/is known for it's high quality!

Thanks for the thumbs up guys!
Although I'm still amazed this one was prooved ok to leave the factory (for Allach standards), I'll add it to the collection!

                      Now let Christmass come!
