I agree they could be replaced.
Skull has more destroyed surface as zink eagle
Under the normal same conditions it is not possible.
    Zink alloy is more unstable.

You may be right I am not necessarily disagreeing with you. But I think your statement needs some clarification. We all know how the E Stand works. Some sellers, like me, start with a number a little over the price originally paid for the item. Others charge retailer price. Still others charge whatever they feel is the market value. Then, if the item do not sell, gradual reductions in price take place until bottom price is reached. A lot of factors are in the mix. I will continue reducing the price until my bottom price, if I don't sell it elsewhere first.

I used to read most of the countless WAF threads on the status of the hobby. I also have seen first hand the tons of unsold stuff on the E stand and the dealers sites. So, the prospects for selling are not good. Most of my sales have been with a loss here or on E Bay. On a good day, I may avoid loss but without profit. However I'm not one of the crybabies. I paid premium prices for premium stuff when I started collecting, so, this was expected I supose. I never bought with the idea of profit, I collected because I enjoyed it. I am still passionate about WW2 history, but for me is time to move on to other things in life. I want to reduce my loss to the minimum possible, but I don't live in a fantasy land. I will take the loss and move on.

Even thou the price of this visor may be less competitive than most collectors would desire, the lack of interest (in the form of offers) speaks volumes. I am open to reasonable offers. I'm flexible. But as stated countless times, times are changing. Right now the german militaria market is for buyers, not unlike the real state market. Prices are dropping like flies.

I'm not surprised about the recent positive outcome of this thread, because when I first bought this visor from Paul Martin I not only showed it here, but I took the precaution of showing it to some other good WAF and non WAF people not unlike the ones who have commented on it on this thread. I'm glad that the general opinion towards this visor is still good.

I decided to consign some of my stuff with a reputable dealer. Depending on the outcome, I may have to make some hard choices. I don't think waiting for a future time to sell is a good option for me because I don't expect german militaria to somehow enjoy the same standing it once had for a lot of reasons.

You do not make a fault. You can set any price, it only a bit yoverpriced for estand IMO but you cwn be sure for strange reasons people are ready to spend more with a dealer. I like the cap and an nco is 10 time more difficult tofind than an officier.
About prices... people makes always mistakes and follows books. I am thinking about people who bought tk in metal for 800-1000eur ,bka for 3000, panzer wrap for +15k etc... all these items were priced quite half in full internet bubble.
I am sure you will sell easily, one time estand had 5/10 post unsold... now 80%
