Does anyone collect cyphered boards and straps?

Does anyone else here collect boards and straps with different cyphers? I have a small collection, mostly officer boards, which I will post, but I would like to see what else is out there.

    LAH Boards

    Alan,
Great selection of boards I don't think collectors realize how rare it is to see an original LAH or DF officer's boards, I'm soooo jealous...I collect LAH infantry boards, but have not been able to lay my hands on an original officer's. Here's are my LAH boards. The first are two single EM boards with slightly different slip-on cyphers, the third is a typical NCO with the slip-on cypher, the fourth is a neat variation of an NCO's board where the slip-on cypher was cut down and sewn on, and the fifth is a nice original stamped cypher whose prongs have broken off and it is hand sewn down onto the board - neat! I hope some of the other forum members will share some of there examples too, as this a topic that we don't see discussed very much...Best, John

      Cyphered Boards

What? Nobody else collects cyphered boards? To me these are the most exciting ones to own...There must be some proud owners of some really nice boards out there - share your pics! John

here is one that came from Andrew mollo pictured in one of his books, only trouble is when he used it in his books he had a "D" cypher on it, i sent this one back some time after i found the photo in his book,

                      cheers,

                      Gary

                            Alan,

Nice collection of SS straps/boards (you too Gary & John). I have mostly Army and some Luftwaffe, along with a smattering of police and diplomatic. I'd love to have some SS, however, I never seem to see any SS w/devices that I'm comfortable with and the few I do find are way overpriced.

By the way, John, what's the explanation for the Unterscharführer strap with the metal rather than the embroidered device?

Glad to see someone has done well......
