Skanderbeg armshield

Gentleman:

Just to be sure before I might hit the "buy" button. I noticed this "Skanderbeg" "Dachau-style" armshield. I'm a little confused about the frayed outside borders of the black backing material and the look of the fabric itself.

I presumed Skanderbeg should be on a somewhat "velvet" like black fabric

Please some opnions from people who know there shields....so to say.

Perfect original.

I do have (seen) collar tabs in both wool and as you state velvet like fabric. Never seen an armshield other then in wool though.

This is fine. One of the more commonly available Dachau armshields and shouldn't cost you more than about $50-70 USD.

There is only one type of genuine Skanderbeg collar tab, however, despite the crude fakes for sale on some well known dealer sites.
