    First black tunic.

Some of you may know,Ive been looking for a black tuinc, think Ive found a good one,I guess it was looked at at the SOS and got thumbs up,but I respect everyones opinion here...It was purchased by Jeff from Grenadier, the tag inside is actually handmade of a tailor from KOLN {not a A-SS man} and it agrees with the tabs number 58{Koln},also a good sign.,tailor still in business as a clothing firm.

It has the rarer grey thread tabs with aluminum/black piping on board and collar, and colored cuff title, all insignia matches proper years etc.Koln became the Standarte changed from Aachen in Jan.37,the board is from 36 so no problems with insignia dates, the grey threaded, aluminum piped tabs fit in that time, and the colored bands phased out in late 37 so thats good also.

A big purchase for me,so I like to get any opinions other than my own research before I jump.If thats ok?Ive been trying to find out if the blue cuff number 7 is ok for standarte 58,and have been told by some its fine, guess not much literature on these colored bands, but I guess it works with any standarte with 7 sturms up to late 37/38 period Ive been told.Any info on that is very welcomed also.
Also eems to be alot of negative vibe here lately from a select few,so please if you want to assess please do,but If all you have to say is..find out for yourself,or anything else that doesnt contribute, then just dont reply! If someone wants to answer in a postive way, either way on the piece, that is welcome.

Myself and I can speak for a few others here are sick of wis*** remarks of any kind or source..,its just not needed, and what does that show newer members?besides an unwelcome matt?Yes I understand if its something you can easily research like if an eagle is bad, etc, ofcourse thats not what Im talking about.

    Anyhow her is the piece

    Hello.

I am a reader more than a poster, but believe me, I read a lot! I can't comment on the tunic, and won't as it isn't my area.

What I would like to say is I've been in exactly your position myself. I agree, please any comments, be constructive. It is a large amount of money and in my opinion you are a good guy who deserves some sensible comments.

Don't be afraid to ask for PM advice. Sometimes it's worth twenty 'I don't like it comments'.

Also, if you get negative advice with reason, believe it. Don't follow an item because you've fallen for it!

    Good luck.

    Chris.

      Tunic

After looking at the photos, I would say it is ok to go to the next level which is a hands on inspection.

Yes if it were possible before I start a layaway it would be great!! Actually as far as originally applied insignia on these?Who knows really? The price is feasible either way.Im guessing the tabs are original anyhow they match the tailor lable area {Koln} Hard to find a matching loose number like that especially the transition tabs for this era tunic{after the white/black piping tabs..came these they are the aluminum/black piping but with threaded number on tab instead of the final type phased to all aluminum numbers on tabs and cufftitles}A good sign of originality.

Looks great but if I'm not mistaken, this tunic was reviewed earlier. On the waf or on the warrelics forum.I have seen it somewhere, before it went for sale on that site.

I know what you are going through.Bought my first black tunic half a year ago.
