...He told me that "if it was fake he didnt want to be like the Antique dealer here who got sued and put in jail for 25 years for fraud". I still cant believe he burned it. Oh well.
Well gents I showed the same photos to a collector or two at the Raleigh NC Militaria show several weeks ago and they ALL said that uniform was real. Early VA-SS chalk stamped mark and correct RZM tags on bot pant and tunic. So your advise was ill advised. Under your expert tutelage I passed on an extreme deal on a real SS uniform. How many other items have been labeled by you guys? Please in the future state that this is an just an opinion and not imperical fact. Thanks.

You apparently kept asking advice until you finally got the answer you wanted. What makes the Militaria show advice you got correct and the advice you received here wrong?
The members who commented on the tunic in this thread are some of the most knowledgeable people in the World on collecting SS and other WWII era German uniforms. Not sure who told you it was real but my opinion is still that it is a fake made in the 1970s. Most "dealers" are some of the least informed people involved with TR collecting.
The uniform set is a clear fake and you are fortunate that you took the advice of the knowledgeable collectors here rather than whatever clowns you talked to at your local show.
Thats what i thought you folks would say. Well thanks anyway. Burned or not the guy wouldn't sell me the uniform. I hope that somewhere along the line responsibility comes in play and folks would realise that what they say here can and will cost someone somewhere. I imagine it wont be long until folks on forums are held to the legal fire. Just hope you guys are the ones on the recieving end.
Indeed, we cost the seller your money. I strongly suggest you research the subject yourself before throwing rocks at experienced collectors who are trying to help you and making vague threats about suing people (no valid grounds for that here in this case either).

I can help you with an extreme deal! So if I offer you the same uniform, say half the price of the market, you would buy it? I can deliver two of these exact same models, same RZM tags, stamps, ... That would be a nice deal for you I guess?

Later Much Much Later.
You obviously know little to nothing about the uniform in question. Yet you have no problem with finding fault with knowledgeable people that are trying to help you. Your childish responses remind me very much of a spoiled child that isn't getting what he wants. Or are you just simply a troll?

I hope that somewhere along the line you get a clue.
