      Not pre45

So how did you determine that?

I don't nothing about this kind of stuff.
And as there is more chance of finding something wrong today...
But the construction is very well made with stamp eagle in the brass.
I saw no trace of disassembly.
Do you think it will be good?

            Bugle

Oh sorry,...........I thought it said "SS Beagle". And that reminds me - Few people know that Irma Griese was considered the original "dog-whisperer". At the Nurnburg trials, inmates testified that she was heard whispering to her dogs under her breath......."Get 'em!!" As for the bugle, the quality of the insignia looks very poorly executed. I don't know if SS bugles exist with 2nd pattern SS eagles, but if they do, I don't think this is one of them. I vote that it's an old bugle, gussied up for the nearest gun show.

                Bugle

Both bugle and eagle seem to be plated together. Is that what you see?

                    SS Eagle

There was this thread some time back showing special SS eagles. I think these may have been used on bugles as there is not much else. If the plating is old and uniform, I think the bugle stands a chance. Check out this thread. The eagles are thin which would stand to reason.

                      Looks like the same bird
You can see where there is "gold" peaking thru
on the bird where the plating is wearing off

Do you think the eagle is stamped or soldered to the bugle.
