Could I get some opinions on the piping of this jacket?

Piping

The collar piping seems fine. The piping on the tabs is a concern.

I agree. Collar piping fine, tab piping not good...

Piping

I'm more of an "SA" guy - so I'm not sure about the collar piping - BUT !! The piping around the collar tabs appears identical to the PHONY piping we're now seeing on quite a few SA brownshirts. If the ends of the tab piping were visible - where it's unraveled, you'd notice that the piping has a "core" with thin strands wrapped around it. I'm pretty sure that this is a modern material. MANY SA guys were fooled by this type of piping originally, as it appears close to original SA piping. But no cigar!!
