Hey Brig, have you tried the blacklight on the litzen? Also, is the litzen glued on to the tab or is it tacked down with black thread? If its glued, I say that the tab is a repro. Also, I don't like that the litzen is so far back - almost to the middle of the tab. However, it would be good to hear from other collectors that several tabs in their collections.

Nothing wrong with the position of the litzen, I have seen period photo's of it in this position, below is a blow up picture of rank patch worn by a friend, notice also the thin litzen no one really likes.

Regarding the litzen on the patch at the start of this thread this is now copied, and has been for some years now, if it is the copy sort it all melts!

this is one of those things you are going to have to make your own mind up on as it would have to be an in the hand examination and there is really not a lot to go on,although i do see a few things i like about your tab
