        Agree

This copy would fool novice people but the construction is missing some points and the SS-BW stamp is a give away

        Well spotted Glenn

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

The poor guy seems to have acquired several bad items.

              Hello.

Maybe he doesn't consider them as issues?

              Regards,

Quite frankly I don't see any problems with this jacket. All the construction details are consistent with known good examples.

I've compared the SS-BW stamp with a stamp that I would stake my life on being genuine, and they seem to match pretty well. If there are any minor differences, keep in mind that the SS Bekleidungswerks probably had more than one stamp And I'll willing to bet that these multiple stamps had differences in font size and type style.

Even the field dressing pocket being attached very close to the front edge of the jacket matches a known good example: the one in Mike Beaver's book on pp 318-323. And if you look further in Beaver's books, you'll see other tunics with this same feature.

We know that the Germans used so many different types of lining fabric that we can't even count them all. Look at Feldbluse, by Huart and Borg, top of page 93 and you'll see shiny light grey lining. So I don't think we can discount it due to the lining.

So just what exactly does everyone see that is wrong with this tunic?

Ok, all the guys that believe it's not a good one, including me, are wrong.
May we have some good close ups to confirm it?
Stamp, stiching, pockets, collar, inside, out,....

The SS BW stamp is consistant with one posted in the Beaver books as being authentic.

                            construction and colours.
                            colours could depend by light.

                            other: needs details.
