    Wiking

    Hello Gentlemen,

My first post in this part of the forum as my focus lies elsewhere.
I made a little display. I hope you enjoy it.

Wiking cuff and a pampflet/booklet in Dutch aimed at Volunteers from Flanders and the Netherlands for the Wiking div.

      Hello Philipson,

really nice display. One short question: What`s the title of the book in the background (with the text from Karl Ullrich)?

        Hello,

It is a series of hardcover books in 8 parts, called "Vlaanderen in uniform 1940-1945" written by SS-Untersturmfuhrer Jan Pieter Vincx ehrenbladspange, and adresses al voluntary service in every possible unit by volunteers from Flanders.
The page that is visible is about the 650 Flemisch Volunteers in Wiking.

These books were extreemly hard to find and expensive.
I had to look long and hard for them. I bought two incomplete sets to assemble one complete set. Some of the pages have remarks added by the former owner who seemed to have been in de Vlaamse wacht and ended in a kampfgruppe in the Arnhem fighting.

Only a few years ago they were published again and are now easily available.
        So much for my efforts.

                Very nice display.
I always think the old books and old cloth are a perfect fit

I would like the history book even more with the notes written by a member of Vlaamse Wacht to Kampfgruppe .
