But as said, the colour looks different in hand, even when a picture is taken with a good camera!

SS polizei recon, this colour did not exist for police

The recon cap on collectors guild and the ss polizei recon cap show that the piping colours are not always the same and difficult to compare... Nice items
The recon cap piping really looks like copper brown, or almost a dark kind of orange, also the boards. The ss cap piping looks more like light brown....

This is my newest contribution to this hellbraun study.
Jürgen did not buy the kz shoulder straps shown above so I did.
I have now compared them with the two kz straps I have
- SS mann and Oberscharführer. As you can see these straps
(marked X) have a more brownish colour.
