    SS Visor for review

    Hi Guys,

This one was dropped in my lap for a look over.
I dont like it but dont have that much hands on with SS visors. Its in way to good of condition but with no diamond. leather strap looks odd also. Visor looks period. No markings anywere. Prongs on the bird look wrong also.

    Love to here some thoughts.

                    Insigna looks good
The visor looks good also...but I'm not a expert on visors!

And I don't like the eagle ... it's certainly not one I've seen before. The lining of the cap isn't the norm either ... is this a private purchase EM/NCO cap ?

Yes its a EM/NCO cap but whether its a private purchase or not, with out the diamond intact I could not say.

Tough to say w/o an in-hand. I agree, chinstrap looks to be a replacement copy--any stamps on the back of it?

It is rare to find private-purchase (ie, non-RZM) visors in the Wehrmachtschnitt configuration. Needs a hands-on.

I just looked and yes its marked at both ends near the buttons.

As it sits on your head the left side says
                              R Z
                              SS
                              M
The right side looks like it says
                              Eduard Brammer
Hamburg 36....and a box with some type of marking in it.

I will snap some pics later. I never new the straps were marked ?
