Hi, please have a look at this officers sleeve eagle. I do not think this to be an original, seen the other thread about original ss officers sleeve eagles.
This one is lacking the opposite direction of the bullon wire on the first wing line, and I can't find any trace of any paper backing.
But this could be that I am lacking experience handling these rare eagles.
However this eagle came from a foreign volunteer tunic, together with other foreign insignias which are 'judged' original. Could it be possible that locally produced bullion eagles were used for WSS officers? So, although not officially RZM-regulated, still period original?
If a well known fake, please let me know.
