The whole tab looks contrived. The stiching on the back ( guide lines ) should not need a double/treble row and the bucky looks out of proportion and for those reasons I will go with a Sandpapered repro...

The collar tab is original, although in poor condition.

I agree with Mr. Hritz. It's a perfectly original tab that has been poorly stored. A double row of stitch is commonly found on these kinds of tabs.

For that ammount of money you should find a nice one.

I believe the second (most inner) line of stitching was to point out were the fabric was to be cut to fit the tab. So it can be cut of or be still there depending on which side the cutting was done...
