I am sure someone will be able to figure the name tag out. It's most likely an American war trophy as the German families tend to remove all the name tags. I think it's right as rain.

I see nothing wrong with the materials of the tunic itself etc. Match the name and get a cookie, It indicates he was a Sturmbannfuhrer when the tunic was made October of 1940. I cannot read the first letter "K" or "R' then a vowel with an Umlaut.Comment

Label is to SS-Stubaf. Koerner.
Label dated 1940 and tabs are of 1941-pattern................so presumably tabs added to the earlier tunic on promotion.
Could this be Paul Koerner?
He ended up as SS-Ogruf.
There could be other Koerners, but I don't have time to study the lists right now.
It's a starter though.
