        SS Zeltbahn

        Hi,
Having always been a lover of items in mint condition, your Zelt presses all my buttons!
If you want a Warei stamp I have that extra rare splinter camo Zelt with a Warei stamp that I'll gladly swap!
Seriously, that is one tasty piece of kit!
        Best regards,
        Grossfuss

I have another zelts and they all have stamps. But all stamps are on autumn/winter side. Why?

          HI Camomania, you're most welcome.
To date, I have never seen company stamps on zelts anywhere but the Fall/Autumn side and almost always on the bottom facing. I believe there was an order made stating they had to be placed here - normally in the bottom left corner.

The samples you posted pics of are, from what is visible, great examples of planetree zelts with traditional Warie stamps. Warie zelts always consist of 2 stamps - the Warie company stamp with its Berlin location in the bottom left corner and the date stamp on the right.

Zelts from other manufacturers normally only have one company stamp and it is generally on the left corner, however, I have seen them occassionally anywhere across the bottom of the zelt. With RbNr.'s they are also generally on the bottom left side of the facing.

I for one, would be if you'd post pics showing the rest of these zelts - I think you've wetted some appetites by just posting pics of the stamps.

Lets see some more of them

            Hello Mark,

            Great research.
These two planetree zelts, one is No.5/6 and another is No.1/2.
            I like No.3/4 zelts but I don't have it.

                  Hello Camomania,

Awesome zelt That is a great example of a later war #5. I like the 2 colors of green and the print flaw line of black ink in the right panel that runs vertically up past the #5.

Im I correct in assuming this is the Warie '43 stamp and your #1 is the '40 stamp?

Im not sure why but the #3/4 plane tree zelts are the least common of the planetree series. I presume they were made in smaller numbers but this is just a guess on my part.

It has also been my experience that the majority of planetree zelts you find, if they have a stamp, will be from Warie. I have several planetree zelts with a FRITZ ELSTER K.G. stamp but these are not common. This stamp sometimes appears on Blurred Edge zelts as well but these are rare.

I see you are from Japan. Can you tell me if there is a big military show in Japan similar to the SOS show or Ciney show in Belgium? When is it?

                  Let's see your #1
                  Kind regards

Although you wont be able to see individual zelts, you can see the better part of my collection here in a post I made last August. Let me know if you have any more questions.
