SS cup for Julfest 1940

Hi,

has one an idea about that item. It is from massive silver, norway made.

For me the engraving looks good, it was a bargain in a German auction site. Totally wrong described, seller was absolutely without knowledge about military items.

So I think, it has a good chance to be good.

Engraving is:

Zum Julfest 1940
Tonseberg
II./ G SS T.I.R. (or T.J.R.)

I think the 'G' is a '6'................SS-Totenkopf-Infanterie Regiment 6 served in Norway.

yea, Robin, that makes sense. The cup is small, and so the engraving is very small
