    SS Panzer Tabs

I am in need of some expert advice. I have bought these tabs, and for me it is an expensive purchase. They come from a reputable source and (based on my limited knowledge but only from the pictures, I have n't yet received the tabs) they look good to me. I will have a return priviledge so I would like your opinions.

why is the runic tab aluminum like an officers? Was this just common procedure for SS Panzer troops?

Bullion was used for NCO and officers. Officers have the addition of bullion piping around the tab.

okay, I thought NCOs generally used the EM tab or a type of flatware aluminum on rarer cases, but I suppose it was different with Panzer troops

so what does a Panzer officer tab look like with the piping?

Nope. As a matter of fact, some officers tabs were enlisted types with the twisted bullion piping added to it.

that sounds unfitting of an officer

David, they were $1,000. I little steep for me but I couldn't help myself. Now I know how bad I have the bug.

Ah, what's a grand in comparison to something that nice and that rare?!
It was probably a chance of a lifetime. I've only seen fakes of these at the militaria shows I've been to.
                      Nice find, and congratulations!

officer, yes Brig, you may be right. But your trusty mustang would
probably find this style (upgrades) much more preferable to show who
he is and where he's been.

Heres a studio shot of piped tabs in wear.

A little closer. Notice the collar is piped in the same waffenfarb.
