    Wiking armband

Are my feelings right? I don't like it.

From that pic your band looks like the book mark band made by a veteran organization (post war).

    Cheers

        Cuff Title ?

Reproduction. The book mark/cuff title made its debut with the publishing of a history of the 5th SS Division Wiking by Munin-Verlag in the 70s. The cuff title/book mark was included with the book.

This cuff title/book marker is also referenced in SS and Political Cuffbands, Ulric of England, 1998, Page 9.

See also German Military CuffBands 1784-Present, Gordon Williamson and Thomas McGuril, 1998, Page 338.

          Bevo

Well "Wiking" only comes in Bevo-Like, RZM, Flatwire and the Gothic Officers hand-embroidered version anyway. Only seen the Gothic HE in Pics.

An easy to recognise fake that newbie should be able to figure out after 10 minutes using the search function on this forum.

Still I am glad you asked, because we are here to help. I hope in the future that you will try the search option.

                It is really handy.

I think there is also a period "latin" officer version in hand-embroidered, but that one is often faked to.

I believe there are some famous photos of Gille wearing the Wiking in gothic. I think there is one period pic in Angolias SS cloth insignia.
The latin Wiking in bullion I am not sure if I have seen period pics of. I have seen a few bullion cuff titles for sale if my memory serves me right.

                        Cheers,
