    Not saying it wasn't used by SS but that is definatly not a tropical SS jacket. They look completely different, do a search on the forum and you will find plenty of examples. There are 2 types of SS tropical jackets, they have a very distinct look. Matt

      This appears to be a "slip on" tunic-shirt with 2 buttons, (note back pleat) and later modified with additional vertical button slits added for a full buttoned front tunic look...
      (4 bottons ttl not counting neck closure...no buttons or hook visible).

      It is definately not a SS pattern, nor even a ww2 standard German garment...some kind of a bush jacket with German buttons added.
      Could be ww2 and used by the Germans or post war fabrication (SS ghost insignia)

        This is what it originally looked like...
        The vertical button slit of this slip on garment reminds me of Italian and Spanish garments!
