Erbhof iron plaque..SS related?

Guys:

I got this sign along with some SS camo material about 4 yrs ago. I know what the sign means but did the SS oversee the awarding of the plaque. Ive searched high & low for info but dead end. Anyway heres a pic. Im sure the paint job is postwar. Nice Odal rune also........

Photo of reverse (as requested. Three threaded mounting holes. By lloking at the back you can see this has ben repainted post war. Anyone have a wartime photo of this plaque in use? Regards, Rioch
