    SS Sleeve Eagle original?

Recently I bought the SS Sleeve Eagle below.

It has clearly been removed from a uniform and has some minor damage and discolourations on the front. The reverse is in better shape, although it has some brown staines too.

Can anyone tell me if this is an original item or a reproduction?

    Thanks one forehand,
    Tim

      Hello timkoningskelp,
I think you bought a reproduction. In this thread *Click* you can see original eagles. They are much more detailed - but I think you will see the difference what I mean.

Why ? The eagles seem to me to be almost identical.

Couldn't find anymore examples of these eagles apart from the one Kurt Meyer posted a link to. Searching on Google didn't help either.

Does anyone know where I can find pictures of other examples of the NPEA-eagle for reference?

There IS no NPEA eagle, they wore the enlisted SS eagle .... which this is a poor imitation of.

                    Hello timkoningskelp,
I`m sorry but I have to disappoint you. Your eagle offers different characteristics to an original SS egale (I already mentioned that some details are inconsistend with the original - for example the feathering).

Kurt Meyer means the NPEA eagle - here I have a link to a portrait for you *Click*. But yours isn`t a NPEA eagle, too - it`s a reproduction.

                    Regards Dagaz

I can see what you mean. It's a pity, but I think you're right.

                      Thanks for the info though.

                      gr Tim
