    Waffen SS in action

    Well, this migt not be the right forum, but I thought I would share these "actionshots" with you.
    The photos comes from I photoalbum, which I got from a former member of the 5th Kompanie of the SS Inf. Regt. Nordland.
    The photos has the text "Mius" on the back

                      I do not know how you can make that assumption, as the bread bag straps that are being worn on the helmets were used in combat to attach foliage,these look like combat foto's to me.

                        Alot of collectors feel that way towards SS, that they were not allowed to wear wire, chickenwire, straps, etc,. on their helmets....I know the only photo's I've seen that showed SS wearing this on their helmets were SS training pics..
                        Maybe this is what he was refering to as there are many collectors I've run into that feel this way, right or wrong..

                            I understand what you are saying Perry, hardly the right suroundings (snow) for the use of the straps :-),
