Here's the text from the story if you haven't already found it.

          Korean Waffen SS

Based on account written by Ed Evanhoe in the book, Dark Moons, Chapter 15, pages 168
          to 169.
During Korean War, both sides waged nonconventional warfare. North Korea and her allies
used espionage and guerrilla warfare, while US, RoK and their allies waged their guerilla
warfare and behind the line raids.
Such war requires creative and nonconventional thinking to fight aggresively and
successfully. Such personality was the Lt. Colonel Jay Vanderpool, commander of the Guerrilla
Operations. After appointed to the post, he inspected the local supply depots in Seoul to see
whether there were equipments to be used for his commandos. He came upon boxes after boxes of
World War II German SS uniforms and equipments. Nobody knows how these boxes were at Korea,
thousands miles east of Europe. Soon, devious thought came up to Vanderpool. He quickly inform
Captain George Lamm, commander of Wolfpack 6, about his plan few days later. After conferring
with Lamm about his upcoming mission, Vanderpool inform Lamm that on the way back, he will pick
up group of Korean commandos in Waffen SS uniforms who has just conducted their own raid. And
Captain Lamm did and picked the Korean Waffen SS near Yellow Sea.
Story goes, ten days after the raid, Soviet Ambassador to UN gave formal complaint to
West German Ambassador about presence of German troops in Korean War.
Whether the event actually happened as described in the book is uncertain, but I did
acquire the picture of Korean commandos wearing the Waffen SS uniforms from Korean magazine
called Platoon. The rear row of soldiers are those wearing the uniforms, you could barely see
the German Eagle on their shoulder patch.

As far back as the ninteteen sixties, I had heard of W-SS uniforms being used in Korea. I think that the story was well enough known that it actually cropped up in Playboy - there used to be a regular comic strip called "Wicked Wanda" in the back of the magazine that featured a pneumatic blonde who constantly got herself into sexual "Perils of Pauline" adventures; in one episode, as I recall, there were a number of 60's Black Panther types who stumbled upon a trove of Nazi uniforms and were all wearing W-SS uniforms by the last frame or so of that month's story.

If this is true and thats a big IF...and get to go to Korea, where would one find these uniforms? During and after the Korean war just like Europe after WW2, people would have worn these because they had no clothes except for the very few ones they had.
                  2) how can we go to N Korea? No one can go there! IF you somehow manage to get a visa and go, then the official state minder who will always be with you will not allow you to trade, talk or look at the common people in the state run farms or even in the city. Anywhere. And if you theoretically do, then no one understands English because it has not been taught in school for obvious reasons of the West being a "evil" and "corruptible" imsiduous influence. Because if you can talk english, then you can read, hear western news and information. You can communicate with the enemy and this they will kill you for. And even if you get to go, no one will ever talk to you because if they are caught or someone rats on them, then you get to go to Korean Auschwitz and your family will be no longer given the even meager amount of food and heat by the state no longer. And worse they will be raped and dismembered.
