    sepp's cap

Do any of you know if Sepp Dietrich wore the golden cords of the wehrmach generals caps, on his waffen ss cap? I know he favored the gold ss eagle, and gold ah cufftitle.

That is a good question. I have seen a few of his items at the USMA, and a summer tunic Jack Angolia owned, but I have never seen his hat or a color photo thereof. I would assume he would wear gold cords.

As far as I remember, yes, the cord was also golden...vanity, vanity and Paris tailors...

I'm sure all of us have seen that clear color photo of OberSepp in the cafe reading the paper and drinking coffee, but he is bareheaded. Anyone have a clear color one of Sepp wearing his visor, or photos of the visor itself?

Actually that picture was taken at the Obersalzburg.

Does the W-H cap have gold piping too?

Most period postcards of him waring his cap shows a army cap eagle not a SS one. That is as I have seen.
