Open collar service tunic

Hello, well i have noticed that there is actually 2 types of collar cut for this kind of tunic (either in the early grey or late feldgrau color) so i would like to know why the difference. It may look just like a detail but the fact is that both patterns repeat nearly exactly. Thanks Type 1 Type 2
