That is unfortunate that yours was a fake!

I now have this one in hand and can tell you without any doubt that it is a period original lithograph...

      Some other new additions.

      Walloon SS.

The artist label for SS Kriegsberichter R. Nachbauer was peeling off when I received this one
although I have since had it professionally reattached as well as the border restored as it was
      in very rough shape.

The poster of Max with the dragon is 100% original. I have been fortunate to own two of these and see no issues with the one he posted.

Christian - The Belgique poster, I also have, love the colours but it is a real wall clogger, haha. Did Dan Miles restore for you?

I had the guy I use here linen back and restore the border for me.

He is unfortunately relocating back to the States but the people he has sold his business to are very good at what they do too, so I will continue to use them and only send really big jobs to US/Canada based restorers, as it is cheaper.

Like you say, it is not a small poster...

              Hi,

first time that i saw a(n horrible) fake version of this famous French poster.

The first is the original, the second is the fake. Easy to check...

              See You

I don't know if this poster was posted yet as I haven't looked thru all of the 132 pages . I found it posted on Instagram and personally have never seen it.

Reportedly photo taken at the OorologsMuseum Overloon

Saw it also in Overloon. It's a nice and not so common dutch poster. Seen it only one or two times for sale...

I know of one in an older auction catalogue but I have not seen any for sale in the past 6 - 7 years.

348 Seiten, durchg. farb. u. s/w. Abb., gebunden im Großformat. 59 euro

I look forward to receiving my copy of Andreas' book.

Some of my posters are in the book so will be nice to see them in print.

The hard work has paid off, well done Andreas.

                            Gents,

Thought I would share this period Norwegian SS recruitment image from a Norwegian paper I received, dated July 13, 1942, which should help to date this wonderful poster to around the same time.

A nice find Scott... That has always been one of my favorite posters by Damsleth.
