            Knives & Forks

There was a dealer selling these at the Kassel show in Germany. He had a box full. When I started to look at them, he walked over and gave me a spoon for free. He didn't say anything but kind of chuckled as he handed it to me.

The lettering on some look like they were stamped yesterday (in Poland)
If one was given for free that tells you something is fishy with these...
That dealer has sold dubious items before btw...so another strike against it being authentic...
but at least yours has SS runes on the front, unlike the dealer offering...
Who knows? Such items are extremely difficult to prove without provenance!
If it is indeed a direct vet aquired item that will help authenticate it!

The initials DAW on these spurious pcs. stand for Deutsche Ausrüstungswerke (German Equipment Works), a leading SS economics enterprise , founded in May 1939, main office in Berlin. The DAW installed SS forced-labor factories near KL's (Stutthof), also inside KL's (Buchenwald). Oft times entire large work camps with factories were set up by the DAW, such as the Juden-Zwangsarbeitslager @ Janowska-Lvov.

I don't like the runes mark.

The other stampings could have been done at any time.............who knows.
