I have seen this style of zinc Deschler before, but it is quite rare.

My guess has always been that when Deschler stopped making the aluminum skulls, they simply started using the same dies to make skulls in zinc. However, I have never had one of this style of zinc skull to do a close side-by-side comparison between it and the aluminum ones to look for differences.

this style of attachment in zinc is rare indeed. I haven't seen this in cupal version (i don't think there is). Deschler change the die, it is different from aluminium.

I am willing to bet there exists a version of this prong mount in cupal , is there a reason why there would not be? From aluminum right to zinc? One thing is obvious and that is that there are more aluminum versions of this prong mounting than there are zinc, also guys is this an early type prong mount ? Mid war or late?
