    Please help...

Hey guys.....I am a pretty new collector of SS items mainly collar tabs and such. So far I have a pretty nice collection of fakes. My loss buying fakes surpassed my 401K drop! Anyway, can I possibly get a few pics of some GENUINE bullion TK collar tabs and SS Rune bullion collar tabs so I at least know what they really look like front and back. Going to my first SOS show and have a good deal to learn and study about. I just want one pair of each of the above at some point in my collection.

If you can i would appreciate it very much.

Happy New Year to all of you!

    Cary

    Collar Tabs

Use the search function at the top of this forum. Key in TK Collar tabs, collar tabs etc. With the search function, you will be able to study all manner of tabs, good & bad.

Also note the "Links to fakes thread" pinned above, outlined in gray, This is an excellent source to check.

And if you have pictures of a potential tab (s) spend the $25.00 to join as an associate member to view images, or find other means of posting your tabs for opinions on them.

    Good luck,

    Charles Betz

          Welcome to the forums Cary!

Part of the excitement to our hobby is locating or hunting down the treasures we add to our collection. Not surprisingly, there are so many reproductions and stories we believe when we are new to the hobby, that we get stung. You have taken your first step by joining the forums and arming yourself against the repros. Read, ask questions and learn the history of the items you are interested in!

By reading the forums, you will learn which dealers are reputable, and we have the estand, where conditions of originality and of sale help to protect the buyer to a certain extent. Other members will question or discuss an item listed for sale if it sets off any alarms and we all learn from it and protect each other.

Not only have I met some wonderful people who became friends through eStand, but I have increased my collection and my items are authentic at generally a lower price than from a dealer.

Good luck with your collecting and regards!
