SS Wehrpass

Its a wehrpass i own, and have had some research done on it. The last page has two sets of photos. One set are from the wehrpass the other set are in the US archives, and are taken by Hoffman in his Berlin Studio.

Can i get some opinions as to whether this is the same man? There are facial similarities, both have the same surname, and both are in the SS.

Would the rank be a match?

Any thoughts on this would be very helpful.
