It looks like a nice, original NVA visor cap with a fake stamp etc.

... it is no fake,
it is only an east german NVA cap with fake SS-insignia and a fake stamp in it!!!
The most obvious sign is the missing lower piping and the dark grey cap-band...

I had the exact same thoughts and believed initially that it had to be a joke!...
Need to spend some serious time in the headgear section for knowledge and invest in reference books!
