    John, are you referring to the pebbling that accidently appears on the upper left oakleaf on the 4 year medals?

    Peter, I haven't noticed a green tint to the 4 year medals, but maybe I
    am partially color blind???

        Perhaps green was the not the correct descriptor here. It seems to be a deep "olive" black, not a true black.

          OK, I know what mean now. Yes, it's not pure black. That is correct.
          I think the dark olive tint is the accurate description for what you are talking about.

            This olive black tint is almost impossible to reproduce. I would be suspicious of an all black medal.
