Interesting Totenkopf picture?

Going through some old boxes with pictures I came across this Wehrpass sized SS Totenkopf portrait picture. It appears that the guy is wearing a fieldgrey tunic with a black visor. Possible?
Any ideas on which unit exactly he is from?

I believe it's SS Verfugungstruppe (VT), or SS Totenkopfverbande (TV). How would you like to have THAT uniform in your TV room?

Hello,

He belongs to the 18 Sturm of a pre-war SS-TV Strurmbanne or Standarten. It was not uncommon for members of the SS-VT or SS-TV to wear their black Allgemeine-SS Service Visor with Field Grey tunics in pre-war photos. It would be nice to know what year the photo was taken.

nice photo! SS-TV.....during the 30s the black visor was often worn with the SS-TV earthgrey uniform and the SS-VT grey uniforms. Love the photo...thanks for posting
