The SS and Heer panzer arm shared the sleeve rank insignia for the Oberschutze, Gefreiter and Obergefreiter. The SS did not use the sleeve insignia of the chevron with the pip together. I have attached a photo. The top three rows are SS and Heer the Bottom two rows are Heer only. I hope this helps.

hi , i'm looking for wh gefreiter chevron for hbt drillich tunic , some books say they were stitched on hbt material instead of dark green cloth , google didn't help me as search results are confusing ,would you know,please? cheers , petr
