Is the grenadier in the right wearing a SS Trapazoid insignia on his M43 cap? I rarely see photos of those being worn!

That M39 grenade on the keilhose watch chain loop is very interesting too.

Looks to be a Heer M43 trap, look at what would be the skull .... I see it as a roundal.

To my knowledge, that type of shield has never appeared in a period photo.
