Well...it does look original and not like one of the counterfiets that were made in the USA with bogus SS markings. The strong metal canister held the soft glass capsule to protect it from breaking obviously. I just am not sure if all of the glass capsules held poison...or for example something such as morphine?

At any rate it does look original whatever it is..perhaps something for spy use during the cold war? ...perhaps something from the Third Reich such as Goering used?

You would probably have to look at the design and construction to date it and to name the place/country of origin.
