It is a copy, and by the way it is a collar tab from the "Verfügungstruppe" not from the "Allgemeine SS".

Not meaning to split hairs but wasn't the Verfugungstruppe formed in 1934 and made up a year after the establishment of the Leibstandarte with three Standarte (Das Reich, Deutschland und Germania) comprising the original SS-VT? I am unclear if the Leibstandarte was Allgemeine or seperate. If seperate, I apologize for the mislabeling.
