Finally my - SSHR

Hi guys, finally I can say I got one after a bit of hassle it's here a very nice '36 SSHR named to Warch with original wear characteristics and research too.

I purchased this from Denny through the GDC and I can't praise Denny enough for his patience and help,we had a little bit of fun with the postal service <!--graemlineek:-->.

Congratulations on your purchase as it is a nice original ring.

Ah, that glow you had as you opened the package. I wish I could have seen it. A combination of fear and excitement in equal measure.

Be very careful, as you will be drawn to the power of the ring and want another one soon.

The date on the ring is to commemmorate the entry in the Rhineland

The usual dates you see on totenkopfrings are 20.4, 21.6, 9.11 and 21.12 and so yours runs out of the normal sequence of issue dates, which makes it nice.

Did it come with a big, fat research file and if so, did you get a photograph of the original recipient?

You now have a truly wonderful piece of SS history

Thanks Raymond it did have a nice research file on the original owner stating his military history and achievements and copys of relevant Diensterlistes, but no pics. Maybe if I try to get some more reseach done on him or his unit there maybe some pics.

Go for it Rob you won't regret it, the cool thing is with these if your lucky you can get abit of research done on the ring and it's owner. Who knows it may have belonged to someone famous or infamous.

This ring is most certainly my prized piece of my collection.
