I have seen plenty of period pics of officers with the flatwire eagle and all different cufftitle's. What about these? The Der Fuhrer wedding picture is in PNG format and does not load.Jacques

        ....

        @Mike Davis

A converted M42 is cool, because after 1940 shouldn't be gothic cuffs available anymore. Your pic shows, this wasn't so.

        No problem.

After six years this tunic is now an untouched original. Jacques

Because I have never found a photo with this mix.
And I have seen 1000 of 1000s photos in my life.
Front line photos, Wochenschau movies, books, studio portraits, forums etc...

This time was the first time now.
(Except faked or wrong self made fantasy tunics.)

I would be happy if somebody could find a photo for me.

Perfect would be a M36 Heer Tunic with EM BEVO sleeve eagle and a officer gothic script "Deutschland" cuff title.
Try and study another five hundred photo's , you might get lucky. Jacques

Thanks. What I was attempting to demonstrate, evidently without success, was that the gothic script sleeveband was indeed worn after 1940 despite the introduction of the Latin block letter version. And since we know that Waffen SS M36 style uniforms were produced with both woven and machine embroidered sleeve eagles, such a combination as questioned by this new member was certainly worn. Now I'll just have to find some photos, will add that to my long list of action items.

Here famous photo of a Knights cross award ceremony. The gothic Der Fuhrer is on a tunic and on another officers uniform is the BeVo eagle.
                    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=383071&page=2

Hard to say if the eagle is a flat wire or not. Photo is from April 1943. Especially the Der Funrer in gothic flat wire can be seen in mid or even late war photos.

As has been said, a photo of such a combination is for sure out there. Just need to find it.

                      ...

This one would be a good pic - but its a M40.

                      And a M40 Tunic again
(+ the false rang. Sturmbannführer/Major would be perfect, but I know, 4 of 4 correct hits (M36 Heer tunic, gothic script cuff title Deutschland, BEVO EM sleeve eagle and Major rang) would be impossible.)

                          "What about these two?"

They have aluminium thread sleeve eagles for officers.

You are obviously looking for attention, rather study more pictures and you might learn something about the interchanging of insignia in the Waffen ss. Jacques

I know about the interchanging, but I like to have to the facts evidences like photos, books etc. too.

Written can be much, but I like it to see.
