    Grey backed General's Boards

    Hi folks,

Thought these were Imperial (bought them as such) but one of our members there (http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=232408) is saying no. Not Imperial but later.

The grey backing is a slightly different shade of grey than my SS Lt. General boards (not sure what level of variance in color you folks have noticed in underlay color on SS boards so I'll look forward to any comments you may provide.)

Please take a look at my link above which I posted in the Imperial Section & give me your thoughts on 'if' these could be Third Reich. Thanx in advance, Rick C.

Okay, not Third Reich - guess I'm back to Imperial, yes?

My opinion is that they appear to be too early of a style of manufacture to be Waffen SS, since the WSS didn't start using army style Generals boards until 1940....and most of them all feature common characteristics. I would think these date to sometime pre-WW2, perhaps even pre-WW1. You need opinions from various people who specialize in those era's for a more correct determination.
