The bulliuon hat eagle is a very rare insignia. I have seen it on green wool also, in David Delich's collection.

Thank you for posting such nice insignia.

            Dave J,

Thank you for posting the eagle. It is only the second one I have ever seen.

This one was posted today on the GDC forum. I would be interested to hear the thoughts of the bullion bird experts (which I certainly am not).

              Thanks in advance,
              Brad

Surely we have enough bullion eagle experts on this forum for someone to offer comment. I would think that at least those who felt confident enough to endorse the two eagles above would have some thoughts about how this one compares. Does this one have the features you like in the first two eagles or does it not and why?

Brad, I just don't know and do not want to spew my ignorance. I like the first two as they are identical to the examples I saw at David Delich's home, back in the 1960s. The last one posted may well be original, but differs significantly from the prior posted examples. I wish I could be more certain.

                    Fair enough, Bob. Thanks.

I told the gentleman asking on the DGC that, due to their extreme rarity, even among the bullion eagle experts, there may only be a couple who have had any real experience with this type.

I still hope othes will chime in to offer observations regarding what they see that they like and don't like about it, whether they feel comfortable making a call regarding authenticity or not.

                    Brad
