Richard, I'm glad it worked out for you. You had a genuine grievance, as did I - I heard nothing from Kevin for a good deal of time, and also had paid money but got no response to my emails or calls. I got no more explainations than you did.

I did have the advantage of having done business with him when he was better organized, so had more faith it would work out. I'm not suggesting an apology from you or anyone else - Kevin provided that. I was suggesting that since he seemed to have sorted himself out and be honoring his deals - you and I are examples - that maybe the collective forum community should cut the guy a huss. Starting with being more accepting of HIS apology. If I was you - and I was in a similiar situation - than I would have been upset, as you were. Sounding off on the forum is fine as well - that's one of it's intended purposes.

There's a huge difference between dishonesty and disorganization. The negative momentum against this guy was not commensurate with the deed, in my opinion. That's all.

Ditto all that. Same happened to me, Peter McKinney's current user ID is PFJMCK check out his feedback. Ebays feedback counter makes it look like he has 6 negatives out of the 1210 total, in less obvious light gray font to the left, its actually 62 negatives total I filed complaints too, not that it will do any good, but at least I can warn others here.

He sells militaria, books and edged weapons. Save your money, make a note to yourselves to avoid Peter McKinney.

Since it seems we can say names,I will warn you about one fellow named Peter McKinney, selling on ebay. Not only he ripped me off (for about $30, but later i found out that he did the same with dozens of other people) but he also annoyed me with xenophobe black mails, when i informed him that i reported the issue to FBI internet Frauds site. I purchased from him a beautiful rhodesian small tag, and i paid him with Bidpay (he did not take paypal...no wonder). Few weeks later he told me he got the money (by us domestic money order)and would have shipped shortly. I waited and...nothing. I contacted him again and no reply. I opened a claim on ebay, and the guy called me a liar saying that he never got my payment plus some colourful comments on europeans, mafia, etc. I checked with Bidpay and required a copy of the receipt they had in their hands with the signature of that little crook and finally they sent it to me.Despite all those evidences , ebay did not suspend him or whatever.
Since I paid with my VISA on Bidpay, i filed a claim and the insurance paid my money back.
I don't know if this guy is still active but be very careful.
