    LAH Presentation Folder

    Hi

I rarely run into SS items and have no idea what this was given for(bar the medal)

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

These photo folders were produced by the SS for propaganda and recruiting purposes in the early 1940s.

They depicted the LAH during the first (victorious) years of the war.

The cover eagle was later used by Rog. Bender for his great 'Waffen-SS' books series back in the 1970s.

If the photo prints look (and 'smell') old, the chances are these ones could be OK. (Reprints have been done, though). The medal is certainly original.

Thanks Robin, it certainly does not smell good and Iam ok with the source. The group shot seems to be not part of the series and is a photo on the back it says "1939 Schloß Veelen-Westfalen" on agfa lupex paper.
