        Bob, friends,
I saw a ton of M43, M42, M44 and 4 pocket HBt tunics with his original sewn rzm eagles, but NEVER saw one of this eagle Original sewn on a tunic, always on restored tunics....also if original they were never used..I dont like them, like all Dachau insigna.....not story for this, like the Belgian made bevo eagle and caps insigna...seams never used..Not story with them...this is ONLY my opinion, with respect with all collectors with different opinion and knowledge.

Here you can see one original sewned to the tunic , nothing wrong with these eagles , but there are also very nice Replica's of it which you only can judge with real clear pictures.

            Lorenz,

while you might not have seen them personally on tunics does not mean they were not used on tunics, new information comes to light each day, you can never say never,

Regarding the belgium made insignia, again you might not have seen it in wear in photos, I have as others have.

There are plenty of items I would not want in my collection, that's a personal preference, Collector preference to what each collector collects is ok, but this personal preference should not be used to dismiss items you do not like on the grounds you would not collect them or do not like them, as it does not mean they are fake.

            cheers

                    Jim,
The eagle in this picture that you posted it'isnt the same eagle of the thread, it's only similar, Take a look of the DIFFERENT construction of the Svastika, the model that you posted is the model posted by Rob, like mine, bellow.
                    Different and more accurate embroider.
Here two pictures of the same eagle.

The arms of the Svastika are at the contrary...
and also the head is different.
                        Big Difference IMO.

This style of eagle is not that uncommon to find and to see in photos. Same style of eagle is often found on pea pattern camo jackets as well. About the slightly mory shiny grey thread in contrast to the more off white/grey thread used on some eagles, it can also be observed for later war luft waffe breast eagles and are referred to as subdued.

I personally like this kind of eagle very much, infact one of my favourite rzm styles.

I have one myself from a Dachau find.

That does not look like Jim Toncar's posted example to me.

                                Lorenz,

No it is not. Jim******180;s eagle have a much fatter swastika.

The eagle you claim is bad is a 100% original eagle accepted by more or less all collectors then yourself and maybee another well known member here who don******180;t like Dachau items........
